Hierro

Post by mikced »

So I purchased Hierro with hopes of good compatibility with Island Creations Hierro Island. Unfortunately the aerial from FSDG is much greener than the one from Island Creation (probably to blend with default textures) so it looks very strange and its a total immersion killer. Since the product page claimed compatibility it would be nice if the two products blended better.

I dont know if your Hierro airport product use its own aerial to match default FS2024 or if somehow it ”force” the use of default aerial but it would be nice if the Island Creation one could be used or better compatibility.

Unfortunately, the colors between default scenery and the addon you named are indeed very different. We cannot provide different sets of airport colors because the FS2020 and FS2024 Marketplace do not allow optional items. We had to find a good compromise for both, but the main focus was to make the scenery look good with default surroundings, as this is what most will use.

Yes but why does their aerial not take priority. it seem the airport area is not masked. it also look very strange on the G1000 MFD display unlile any other payware airport.

Also what difference does it make what the Marketplace allow or not? I purchased through Simmarket and they allow as many variations as the seller want. I have sceneries from FSX3D and they even provide alternative aerials if you use MSFS map enhancement.

A custom made freeware of Hierro is in the making from the guy who did Gran Canarias El Berriel airport. Should it really be as bad as I have to use their free version because you have no Interest in the issue. Many people do use Island Creations aerials.
